Four things to get right before ordering.
A little planning around length, gauge and weatherproofing makes for a clean, reliable installation that performs for decades.
Measure the distance from your panels to your consumer unit. It's better to have excess cable — which can be coiled and secured — than to be short.
4mm² cable is standard for runs under 15m. For longer runs or higher-output systems, 6mm² reduces voltage drop.
